Ultrakote Aluminium Oxide Non-Slip Media
Create a durable, textured, slip-resistant surface with Ultrakote Aluminium Oxide Non-Slip Media. Designed for use with epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings, this white aluminium oxide aggregate helps improve floor traction in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Available in 30, 46 and 80 grit, you can select the appropriate grade for your required slip-resistance target. The media is broadcast into the wet coating and back-rolled to embed the particles into the coating layer, creating a durable anti-slip finish.
Aluminium oxide can also be used on decorative epoxy flake floors where additional slip resistance is required.

Grit Selection Guide
Choose the aluminium oxide grit to suit your intended slip rating.
- 30 grit – P5: For applications targeting a higher level of slip resistance.
- 46 grit – P4: For applications targeting a medium-high level of slip resistance.
- 80 grit – P3: For applications targeting a moderate level of slip resistance.
Actual slip ratings depend on the coating system, application method and finished surface. Confirm suitability for your project where a specific slip rating is required.

Application
Broadcast the aluminium oxide evenly into the appropriate wet epoxy or polyurethane coating layer, then back-roll to embed the media. Follow the coating manufacturer's application instructions and test a small area first to check the finished texture and appearance.
