Sikalastic Moisture Seal — Water Based Epoxy Primer & Waterproofing Barrier Membrane

Sikalastic Moisture Seal is a high-performance, two-component, water-based epoxy that chemically cures to form a waterproof vapour barrier. It is hydrostatic pressure resistant, can prevent rising damp, and is suitable for use as a primer over damp concrete and damp screeds prior to the application of various Sika waterproofing membranes. Its low VOC formulation makes it ideal for use in confined spaces.

Limitations

• Must not be applied directly over protective coatings
• Must not be applied if raining or rain is imminent
• Not recommended for metal surfaces (corrosion risk)
• Must cure for a minimum of 72 hours prior to full immersion or water testing
• Not suitable as a trafficable, exposed, or UV-stable coating
• Not recommended as an efflorescence barrier for sand cement screeds or render, and not suitable to be tiled over
• Cure time is affected by surface temperature, ambient temperature, and relative humidity
• Discard any material that has exceeded pot life or working time
• Provide adequate ventilation in enclosed areas
• Contact Sika Technical Service to confirm membrane compatibility before use
