Sikagard 63 N is a 2-part,novolac epoxy resin based, chemical resistant, protective coating. It can be used on many types of structures or elements for cementitious, metallic and epoxy resin binder substrates. The chemical resistant properties provides surface protection from aggressive chemicals that can cause rapid degradation.

What is Sikagard-63 N used for?
It is a chemical-resistant protective coating for concrete, steel and other suitable substrates. It is commonly used in chemical containment tanks, bunds, silos, fuel and oil tanks, and industrial chemical areas.

How much area does one 10kg kit cover?
At the recommended consumption of 0.25–0.4 kg/m² per layer, one 10kg kit covers approximately 25–40 m² per coat.

How many coats are recommended?
A standard system generally uses a primer followed by two coats of Sikagard-63 N. Specific systems may require different build thicknesses.

What chemicals is Sikagard-63 N resistant to?
It provides good resistance to many aggressive chemicals. For specific chemical exposure requirements, contact Sika Technical Services for confirmation.

Can Sikagard-63 N be used on steel?
Yes. It can be used as a protective and anti-corrosion coating on suitably prepared steel and aluminium substrates, with compatible primer where required.

How long does Sikagard-63 N take to cure?
At 20°C, the coating can be overcoated after approximately 5 hours, with full cure taking around 9 days.
