Concentrated Primer for Flooring & Tiling Systems
Sikafloor-01 Primer is a concentrated synthetic resin primer designed for pre-treating surfaces before the application of cement and gypsum-based products. This solvent-free primer seals porous concrete, enhances bond strength, and eliminates dust.
Uses:
Applied in combination with suitable materials from Sikafloor®, SikaBond®, Sikadur®, SikaTite®, & Davco® ranges. It is suitable for pre-treating various surfaces to enhance bond strength for internal and external commercial, residential, and industrial installations.

Application Information:
- Mixing ratio: 1:3 with clean cool water (refer to datasheet for substrate-specific dilution)
- Consumption: 1:3 dilution ~ 7 - 8 m² per mixed litre (average, depends on substrate)
- Ambient air temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
- Substrate temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
- Waiting time to overcoating: Refer to the datasheet for substrate-specific waiting times (approx. 10 mins to 24 hours per coat at 23 °C).
Important Considerations:
- Do not mix or apply Sikafloor-01 Primer in temperatures below 10°C and above 35°C.
- Sikafloor-01 Primer is not recommended as a trafficable seal coat over cement-based materials.
Application Instructions:
Substrate Quality / Pre-treatment: Concrete should be cured, sound (min. pull off 1.5 MPa), clean, dry, and porous. Timber should be clean and sanded. Refer to datasheet for specific substrate preparation.
Mixing: Mix Sikafloor-01 Primer with clean cool water at the recommended ratio (1:3 is common for porous concrete).
Application: Apply diluted primer with a soft bristle broom or long-napped roller, ensuring good penetration and film build. For very porous surfaces, a second coat is recommended. Apply neat on timber/wood, CFC & Scyon. Apply subsequent materials as soon as primer is dry (within 24 hours).
Cleaning of Equipment: Clean all tools with water immediately after use.
