Fast-Acting Cementitious Mortar for Stopping Leaks

Sika Plug is a chloride-free, ready-to-use powder based on high alumina cement that quickly sets into a plugging mortar when mixed with water. It's designed for rapid water-stopping and leak sealing in various substrates.

Uses:

• Rapidly sealing water leaks in concrete, mortar, and brickwork.
• Pre-treatment to the installation of the Sikalastic 1K cementitious waterproofing system.

Application Information:

• Mixing ratio (approx. by mass): 3 parts powder : 1 part water

Application Instructions:

Substrate Quality / Pre-treatment: Concrete, mortar, brickwork should be sound, clean, and free from contaminants. Steel/iron should be clean and rust-free. Roughen the leak area and create a "V" shape if possible. Porous substrates must be pre-soaked.

Mixing: Due to rapid setting, mix only small quantities at a time. Quickly and thoroughly mix the powder and water in a suitable container to a workable consistency. Use only the amount that can be immediately applied by gloved hand or trowel.

Application: Firmly work the mixed mortar into the leaking crevice, V-cut, or joint. Hold in place until sufficiently hard. Strike off flush if desired. Repeat until the leak is stopped. For high water pressure, a timber plug may be used under Sika Plug.

Cleaning of Equipment: Clean all tools immediately after use with water. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
