  • Shelf life: 9 months from date of manufacture.
  • Storage conditions: Store in dry, cool conditions out of direct sunlight and avoid humidity.

Application Information:

  • Coverage (per 10mm screed thickness):
    • 1:4 Mix Ratio: Approx. 3.5 kg/m²
    • 1:5 Mix Ratio: Approx. 3.0 kg/m²
  • Working Time: Approx. 45 minutes at 23°C & 60% RH (dependent on conditions).
  • Drying Time (at 23°C):
    • Foot traffic: 3-4 hours
    • Tiling/Stone: 6-8 hours
    • Levelling/Smoothing products: after 12 hours (moisture testing recommended before floor coverings).

Drying times are influenced by temperature, airflow, humidity, and screed thickness.

Important Considerations:

  • Do not use on substrates subject to extended shrinkage or rising damp.
  • Not for submerged applications.
  • Final performance depends on gauging water, ambient conditions, and sand quality.
  • Use between +5°C and below 35°C.
  • Do not mix with other cements or chemicals.
  • Do not use over lightweight concrete, hardwood floors, or metal.

Application Instructions:

Substrate Quality / Pre-treatment: Clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of contaminants. Prepare the surface adequately (water blasting, scarification, etc.). Concrete must be at least 10 days old with an open surface. Sheeted substrates must be installed as per manufacturer's instructions for tiling. Prime porous substrates with Eco Prime WB and non-porous with Eco Prep n Prime.

Mixing: Mix 20kg Eco Screed Rapid Concentrate with 60-100kg graded sand (0.8-4mm) and 9.2-11.2 Litres clean, cool water for 3 minutes to a semi-dry homogeneous mix. Use immediately.

Bonded Screeds (Min 10mm, Max 100mm): Apply a slurry bond coat (1 part Eco Screed Rapid : 1 part EcoCrete : 2 parts water) to the substrate (min 2mm). Apply and level the screed mix before the bond coat skins.

Unbonded Screeds (Min 30mm, Max 100mm): Lay 2 layers of polyethylene film (taped joins). Place and level the mixed screed on the film and reinforce with galvanized wire as per standards.

Cleaning of Equipment: Clean tools with water while the mix is wet. Mechanical removal is needed for dried product.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.
