Chemforce TED Acidic Cleaner is a highly concentrated solution formulated to clean porous materials such as stone, concrete, brick, and grout. It removes stubborn efflorescence, rust stains, grout haze, limescale, and other mineral residues while producing far less fumes than hydrochloric acid.

Benefits of TED Acidic Cleaner

  • High concentration – Contains 50–60% Urea Hydrochloride for powerful cleaning action.

  • Lower fuming – Delivers strong performance with much less odour compared to hydrochloric acid.

  • Effective stain removal – Cleans efflorescence, grout haze, rust marks, mortar mess, soap scum, limescale, and mineral deposits.

  • Additional uses – Suitable for removing fireplace soot from masonry and brickwork.

  • Safer handling – Temporary skin contact does not cause immediate burns, though rinsing immediately after contact is essential.

  • Low metal corrosion – Little to no impact on metals, except aluminium.

How to Use

    1. Read Product Data Sheet and Material Safety Data Sheet before using
    2. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
    3. TEST PRODUCT ON A SMALL AREA TO CHECK ACID SENSITIVITY BEFORE FULL APPLICATION.
    4. If satisfied with test results, remove all loose dust and dirt from the surface.
    5. Apply when surface temperature is 5 to 35 °C (40 – 95 °F).
    6. Pre-wet very porous surfaces with water to prevent cleaner penetrating too deeply.
    7. TED is highly concentrated and must be diluted with clean water. Recommended dilutions:
      • Efflorescence, rust marks – 1 part TED™ to 10 parts water
      • Grout haze, limescale, soap scum – 1 part TED to 20 parts water
    8. Pour, brush or spray mixed solution generously onto surface and leave for 3 minutes.
    9. Do not allow solution to dry on surface.
    10. Clean large areas in sections.
    11. Rub with a white nylon scrub pad, or similar, to clean the surface.
    12. TED  is highly acidic and must be neutralized before rinsing: Use Oxitec-M™ or dissolve 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda in a bucket of water. Pour, spray over the entire surface and leave for minimum 3 minutes.
    13. Rinse surface thoroughly several times with clean water.

NOTE: TED is highly acidic and will etch acid sensitive materials such as marble, limestone, travertine and onyx. Concrete should be wet before applying TED and neutralized immediately afterwards to minimize damage.
