SupaPrime is a deep penetrating nanotechnology modified, water based acrylic Roofing primer. The nanoparticle technology of this primer has been developed to penetrate and strengthen the bond of aged, powdery and oxidised pre-painted roof tiles. With its exceptional wetting and penetrating properties, SupaPrime effectively strengthens and stabilizes the inter-coat bond of these hard surfaces, preparing them to apply Nutech Paint’s range of Roof topcoats.

SupaPrime’s key advantage lies in its nano-technology-modified polymer composition. This advanced technology enables the primer to interact effectively with the surface at a molecular level, ensuring maximum adhesion and durability.

Suitable Surfaces:

  • Oxidised concrete roof tiles
  • Powdery or chalky roof tiles
  • Weathered cement surfaces
  • Previously coated but unstable roof substrates

Benefits:

  • Strong wetting and penetration for superior bonding
  • Stabilises powdery, oxidised, and porous surfaces
  • Promotes long-lasting adhesion for roof coatings
  • Improves coating durability and reduces peeling risks
  • Suitable for high-exposure and difficult surfaces
  • Ideal pre-treatment for NuTech’s full roof coating range
  • Quick drying and easy to apply

Features:

  • Deep penetration
  • Outstanding adhesion properties
  • Retains both flexibility and strength
  • Excellent protection against lichen, mould and surface spoiling bacteria

  • Powdery oxidised concrete roof tiles
  • Porous concrete and cinder block walls
  • Lightweight concrete panels
  • Tilt slab concrete walls
  • Concrete render stucco and stucco-type wall finishes

Additional Notes:

Do not spray on extremely hot surfaces. Heavy application is not required to maximise penetration through the powdery surface

1. What surfaces can SupaPrime Roof Primer be used on?

SupaPrime is ideal for oxidised, powdery, or weathered concrete roof tiles, previously coated but unstable roof substrates, porous concrete walls, lightweight panels, and stucco-type surfaces.

2. How does SupaPrime improve roof coating adhesion?

Its nanotechnology-modified acrylic formula penetrates and stabilises the substrate at a molecular level, creating a strong bond that promotes long-lasting adhesion for topcoats.

3. Can SupaPrime be used on previously painted or aged roof tiles?

Yes. SupaPrime is specifically designed to strengthen aged, powdery, or oxidised pre-painted tiles, preparing them for NuTech’s roof coating range.

4. What are the application conditions for SupaPrime Roof Primer?

Apply between 10°C and 30°C, ensuring the surface is clean and dry. Avoid very cold, extremely hot, or wet conditions, and do not apply the topcoat until the primer is fully dry.

5. What are the benefits of using SupaPrime before roof topcoats?

SupaPrime stabilises difficult substrates, improves inter-coat adhesion, reduces peeling risk, retains flexibility and strength, and provides protection against mould, lichen, and surface spoilage.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.

Product Disclaimer: Ensure you read all product, technical and safety data sheets prior to application as liability falls on the applicator. All products must be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended method.
