One-Component Polyurethane Foam for Filling and Insulating
Sika Boom AP is a one-component, fast-curing, general-purpose polyurethane foam with a very high expansion rate. Its multi-position application makes it ideal for hard-to-reach areas.

Important Considerations:
- Minimum can temperature for application: +10 °C.
- Can temperature should not vary more than 10 °C from ambient temperature for good foam quality.
- Protect from direct sunlight and temperatures above +50 °C (explosion risk).
- Moisture is necessary for proper curing.
- Insufficient moisture may lead to post-expansion.
- Do not completely fill hollow sections due to foam expansion.
- Do not use on PE, PP, PTFE, silicone, oil, grease, or separating agents.
- Not UV resistant; exterior applications require protection.
- Read all safety and technical recommendations before use.
Application Instructions:
Substrate Preparation: Clean, sound, homogeneous, free of oils, grease, dust, and loose particles. Remove paint and cement laitance. Pre-dampen the substrate with a mist spray of clean water.
Application: Shake can well for at least 20 seconds. Screw nozzle onto the valve. Regulate foam extrusion with trigger pressure. For deep joints, apply in layers, misting water between layers and allowing sufficient curing time. Do not completely fill hollow sections. Use an extension tube for small gaps. Temporarily fix building elements until fully cured. Cured foam can be cut and painted.
Cleaning of Equipment: Clean tools immediately with Sika Boom Cleaner or Acetone. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
