Davco K12 WPM is a flexible, micro-fibre reinforced, pre-mixed Class III, water based polyurethane waterproofing membrane.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

• Packaging: 17kg pail
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture if unopened
• Storage conditions: Store in dry cool conditions above 5°C out of direct sunlight. Do not allow to freeze.
• Colour: Grey
• VOC content: Low VOC - 1.98 g/L (SCAQMD method 304-91)

APPLICATION INFORMATION

• Consumption: 16.6m² per coat
• Layer thickness: Apply in minimum 2 coats. Wet film thickness 0.75mm per layer. Minimum dry film thickness after 2 coats is 1.0mm.
• Ready for use: 6–8 hours after final coat

LIMITATIONS OF USE

• Do not apply in temperature above 35°C or below 5°C
• Do not allow the product to freeze
• Delay external applications if inclement weather is imminent
• Do not thin or dilute
• Do not use in areas of continuous water ponding or permanent immersion (e.g., pools, spas)
• Not suitable where negative hydrostatic pressure is present
• Do not use in commercial kitchens or hospitals with frequent chemical cleaning
• Not to be used as exposed waterproofing membrane

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

EQUIPMENT

• Paint brush
• Short to medium nap paint roller

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

• Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free of contaminants
• Remove sharp protrusions
• Fill voids or potholes with Sika Lanko 136 Rapid patching mortar

SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT

Concrete

• New slabs: Wood float finish, cure 6 weeks
• Old slabs: Clean with detergent/degreaser, rinse well, dry 24 hours
• Steel trowel finish: Mechanically abrade, remove laitance
• Prime with Davco Ultraprime or PrimeX

Render/Screeds

• Wood float finish, cure minimum 7 days

Lightweight Blocks

• Prime with 2 coats of Davco Ultraprime or PrimeX

Metal

• Remove rust
• Prime with SikaTile 015 Prep n Prime

Cracks (Not subject to movement)

• Hairline cracks (< 1mm): Filled with first coat
• Wider cracks: Use silicone bond breaker before application

Cracks (Subject to movement)

• Fill with silicone bond breaker, cover with 50mm wide PP/PE tape

Building Boards

• Prime with PrimeX
• Seal fasteners
• Tape joints

Falls to Drain

• Wet areas: 1:80 slope (12.5mm/m)
• Balconies: 1:100 slope (10mm/m)

Timber

• Over-sheet with fibre cement or reinforced screed
• Prime with Ultraprime

Compressed Fibre Cement

• Prime with PrimeX

Bond Breaker

• Use Abelrod or Sika neutral cure silicone
• Ensure proper curing before membrane application

APPLICATION

Apply a minimum of 2 coats with a paint brush or roller. Wet film thickness must be 0.75mm per coat. Ensure full dry film thickness of 1.00mm. Protect from moisture until
