Product Information

Composition: Polymer modified cement compound

Packaging: 20kg Bag - 64 bags per pallet

Appearance and colour: Grey powder

Shelf life: Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool, dry and weatherproof environment.

Storage conditions: Bags must be stored off the floor. Avoid sitting bags in direct sunlight prior to application.

Density: 1.24kg/m³

Volatile organic compound (VOC) content: 3 Grams per litre.

Application Information

  • Mixing ratio: 5 - 5.2 Litres of clean, cool water
  • Yield: 12L - 4m² @ 3mm
  • Layer thickness: 1 - 30mm (neat), 10 - 50mm (bulked with 1-2mm aggregate)
  • Ambient air temperature: 10°C - 35°C
  • Pot Life: 18 minutes @ 23°C
  • Waiting time to overcoating: Allow 18 hours at 23°C prior to the application of impervious floor coverings. Drying is dependent on thickness of application, temperature, air flow & relative humidity. Increased air flow will help with drying speeds in cooler temperatures.
  • Initial set time: 55-95 minutes at 23°C & 50% relative humidity
  • Final set time: 60-100 minutes at 23°C & 50% relative humidity

Limitations of Use

  • Do not install over particleboard, hardwood floors, parquet floors or metal. Suitable for concrete substrates only.
  • Do not mix or apply below 10°C and above 35°C and under hot and windy conditions.
  • Keep product cool prior to mixing and do not leave bags in direct sun for extended periods.
  • Protect from hot or strong winds and extremes of temperature for 12hrs after being applied.
  • All construction/expansion joints in existing concrete must be reflected through subsequent floor coverings.
  • Do not use on sloped surfaces requiring drainage (wet areas) or in exterior applications.

Substrate Quality

Concrete floors should be fully cured, structurally sound, clean, dry, and free of surface contaminates and dust for Eg. Concrete must be porous and accept water penetration.
Test by lightly sprinkling water on various areas of the substrate. If water penetrates, then a good bond with a selected primer can be achieved. If water beads and fails to be absorbed by the concrete surface contaminants are present then loss of adhesion may occur.
Contaminates that are present should be mechanically removed before installation.
Concrete must be free of efflorescence and not subject to hydrostatic pressure. If the concrete substrate has efflorescence or high moisture (RH) and moisture sensitive flooring is being installed Sikafloor® Moisture Barrier System may be considered (Sikafloor®-158 W Fast Barrier + Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime + Sikafloor® Level Top).
Contact your local Sika® office for further information.

Priming

  • Refer to the primer product data sheet for additional specific instructions
  • Chosen primer shall be completely dry prior to the application of SikaFloor ® Levelling Systems

Porous Priming

  • Sikafloor® 01 Primer @ 1:1 - 1:2 - 1:3 with water
    or
    ▪ Sikafloor® Level Pro Primer - undiluted (Neat)

Note: Correct amount of priming liquid should always be applied to the prepared substrate giving good penetration and film build. Thin applications may result in pinholing or debonding levelling compound from the substrate. Do Not Allow primer to pool while drying. On particularly porous (mechanically prepared) surfaces or where the initial prime coat absorbs immediately a second coat is recommended. Average dry time ~20–30 min (per coat)

Non-Porous Priming

  • Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime – undiluted (Neat)

Note: When applying primer to Non-porous surface use a paint roller and apply one thin even coat.
Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Must Be Completely Dry (50 min+) prior to applying Sikafloor® products.

High Moisture Content Concrete Priming

  • SikaFloor® 158 Fast Barrier followed by SikaFloor®-14 Prep N Prime
  • Apply the SikaFloor®- 158 Fast Barrier and allow to dry. Then apply a single coat of SikaFloor®-14 Prep N Prime and allow to dry prior to subsequent application of Sikafloor® Level TOP.

Mixing

  • Not mixing for the recommended time or additional water may result in product finish irregularities and possible failure.
  • Only mix Sikafloor® Level TOP in full bags and not part bags.

Single Bag Mixing

Mix the entire 20kg bag of powder with 5 - 5.2 Litres of clean, cool water. Slowly add powder to the water while mixing with a suitable electric drill and mixing paddle. Thoroughly mix at high speed for 2 minutes to a lump free consistency.

When extending the Sikafloor® Level TOP with aggregate (bulking out purposes) add 10kg of clean 1-2mm aggregate with 20kg of Sikafloor® Level TOP and Thoroughly mix at high speed for 2 minutes to a lump free consistency.

Multi Bag mixing Station

Pre-measure the correct amount of water for the number of bags being mixed. Add the water to the mixing station then slowly add the powder to the water while mixing. Ensure the product is thoroughly mixed for a minimum of 2 minutes from the last bag added to the mixing station.

Pump Machine Application

Ensure pump machines are calibrated to avoid over watering of the mixture.

Application

Pour or Pump Sikafloor® Level Top, then spread with a long handled gauged spreader or trowel to heights as required. Sikafloor® Level Top will seek its own level during the first 12 minutes. For touch-ups, use a flat steel trowel.
For best results use a spike roller as necessary.

Cleaning Of Equipment

Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water product the the material drying.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.

Product Disclaimer: Ensure you read all product, technical and safety data sheets prior to application as liability falls on the applicator. All products must be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended method.
