Density: 1.24kg/m³
Volatile organic compound (VOC) content: 3 Grams per litre.
Concrete floors should be fully cured, structurally sound, clean, dry, and free of surface contaminates and dust for Eg. Concrete must be porous and accept water penetration.
Test by lightly sprinkling water on various areas of the substrate. If water penetrates, then a good bond with a selected primer can be achieved. If water beads and fails to be absorbed by the concrete surface contaminants are present then loss of adhesion may occur.
Contaminates that are present should be mechanically removed before installation.
Concrete must be free of efflorescence and not subject to hydrostatic pressure. If the concrete substrate has efflorescence or high moisture (RH) and moisture sensitive flooring is being installed Sikafloor® Moisture Barrier System may be considered (Sikafloor®-158 W Fast Barrier + Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime + Sikafloor® Level Top).
Contact your local Sika® office for further information.
Porous Priming
Note: Correct amount of priming liquid should always be applied to the prepared substrate giving good penetration and film build. Thin applications may result in pinholing or debonding levelling compound from the substrate. Do Not Allow primer to pool while drying. On particularly porous (mechanically prepared) surfaces or where the initial prime coat absorbs immediately a second coat is recommended. Average dry time ~20–30 min (per coat)
Non-Porous Priming
Note: When applying primer to Non-porous surface use a paint roller and apply one thin even coat.
Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Must Be Completely Dry (50 min+) prior to applying Sikafloor® products.
High Moisture Content Concrete Priming
Single Bag Mixing
Mix the entire 20kg bag of powder with 5 - 5.2 Litres of clean, cool water. Slowly add powder to the water while mixing with a suitable electric drill and mixing paddle. Thoroughly mix at high speed for 2 minutes to a lump free consistency.
When extending the Sikafloor® Level TOP with aggregate (bulking out purposes) add 10kg of clean 1-2mm aggregate with 20kg of Sikafloor® Level TOP and Thoroughly mix at high speed for 2 minutes to a lump free consistency.
Multi Bag mixing Station
Pre-measure the correct amount of water for the number of bags being mixed. Add the water to the mixing station then slowly add the powder to the water while mixing. Ensure the product is thoroughly mixed for a minimum of 2 minutes from the last bag added to the mixing station.
Pump Machine Application
Ensure pump machines are calibrated to avoid over watering of the mixture.
Pour or Pump Sikafloor® Level Top, then spread with a long handled gauged spreader or trowel to heights as required. Sikafloor® Level Top will seek its own level during the first 12 minutes. For touch-ups, use a flat steel trowel.
For best results use a spike roller as necessary.
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water product the the material drying.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.
Product Disclaimer: Ensure you read all product, technical and safety data sheets prior to application as liability falls on the applicator. All products must be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended method.
