Before You Start
The concrete must be sound, clean, dry and free from laitance, dust, oil, grease and other contamination.
Mechanical surface preparation such as diamond grinding or suitable shot blasting is recommended to remove contamination and provide the required surface profile.
Primer is not included. Flowprime AU may be required where specified, including certain porous substrates. Follow the manufacturer's current technical data sheet for primer requirements and application.
Any cracks, damaged areas or surface defects should be repaired with a suitable compatible repair product before coating.
How to Apply
- Prepare the concrete: Mechanically prepare the floor and thoroughly vacuum to remove dust and loose material.
- Repair cracks and defects: Fill cracks, holes and damaged areas with a suitable compatible repair product. Allow repairs to cure fully before coating.
- Check moisture: Make sure the substrate meets the manufacturer's moisture requirements before coating.
- Prime if required: Apply Flowprime AU only where needed, such as on very porous concrete. Follow the manufacturer's mixing and recoat requirements.
- Mix Flowcoat OP: Stir Base A to redistribute any settlement, then add Hardener B.
- Mix thoroughly: Use a slow-speed drill with a suitable helical mixer for approximately 90 seconds. Avoid excessive air entrainment.
- Add Xylene if required: Where required by the application conditions, add approximately 2–7% Xylene and mix for a further 30 seconds.
- Apply the first coat: Apply at approximately 0.2kg/m² using the appropriate roller and/or squeegee.
- Apply the second coat: Apply at approximately 0.2kg/m² within the manufacturer's specified overcoat window.
- Allow to cure: Keep the floor protected during curing and do not allow traffic until the coating has sufficiently cured.

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.
