Ultrakote UVSeal is a premium UV-stable clear polyurethane concrete sealer designed to protect and enhance concrete, epoxy, flake, and metallic flooring systems. This single-pack moisture-curing aliphatic polyurethane forms a tough, durable, high-gloss protective coating that resists yellowing, abrasion, weathering, and hot tyre pickup.

Unlike traditional two pack polyurethane systems, Ultrakote UVSeal is a ready-to-use single-pack formula that requires no mixing. Packaging and Coverage

Ultrakote UVSeal is available in 4L and 8L containers. Coverage will vary depending on the surface profile and porosity of the substrate.

Typical coverage rates:

• Flake flooring topcoat
  • 4L – approximately 20 to 25 m² per coat
  • 8L – approximately 40 to 50 m² per coat

Two coats are generally recommended to achieve optimal protection, durability, and finish quality.

Surface Preparation

• Proper surface preparation is critical for achieving long-lasting results when applying any polyurethane concrete sealer.
• For best results, concrete should be mechanically prepared using diamond grinding to remove laitance and open the surface pores. This allows the sealer to penetrate and bond properly.
• Existing concrete surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as grease, oil, dust, or curing compounds. Older surfaces may require degreasing, pressure washing, or acid etching prior to sealing.

Application Guidelines

• Ultrakote UVSeal can be applied using a roller, brush, or spray equipment. Two coats are typically recommended for most flooring systems.
• When applying to bare or porous concrete, the first coat can be thinned with approximately 5% general purpose thinners to improve penetration.
• For slip-resistant finishes, aluminium oxide or other anti-slip media can be added between coats depending on the level of slip resistance required.
• Once cured, the coating forms a durable, glossy protective layer that enhances the appearance of the floor while making it easier to clean and maintain.
