Where to Use Silcopel?

Silcopel is suitable for:

  • Commercial and domestic facades.
  • Internal and external porous stone, masonry, and concrete walls or floors.
  • Pre-seal applications for enhanced sealing efficiency.

How to Apply Silcopel

For the best results, apply Silcopel when the surface temperature is between 5°C and 35°C. Suitable tools include a Solutions Sealers applicator, microfiber cloth, paintbrush, or airless sprayer. Avoid using a roller.

On porous surfaces, apply 2–3 coats. Begin with a flood coat, saturating the surface without leaving puddles, and follow with additional coats after 15–30 minutes of drying time. For dense surfaces, apply a light, even coat, followed by a second light coat if necessary. Excess sealer should be removed after 15 minutes using a cloth or a scrubbing machine with a white nylon pad for larger areas.

Take care to avoid contact with non-porous materials such as glass, painted surfaces, plastic, and vinyl.

Coverage and Shelf Life

Solutions Sealers Silcopel offers excellent coverage depending on the surface type. For porous surfaces, the first coat covers approximately 4 square meters per litre, while subsequent coats cover 4–6 square meters per litre. On dense surfaces, coverage ranges from 7–12 square meters per litre. Pre-sealing can reduce the amount of product required.

The product has a shelf life of two years when stored in an unopened container. After this period, it is recommended to test the contents to ensure effectiveness.
