Sikafloor-550 PA is a clear and pigmented 2-component polyaspartic resin coating. This Sikafloor product offers high solids, low viscosity, high strength, and a rapid cure time, along with excellent resistance to UV and abrasion.

Product Details:

• Composition: Aliphatic Polyurea Resin
• Packaging Options: 8 litres & 40 litres kits
• Shelf Life: 12 months from the production date
• Storage: Keep in original, unopened packaging, dry, between +5 °C and +30 °C.
• Appearance & Colours: Available as a Clear resin coating and in Pigmented - N45 Koala Grey, Light Grey, White, Window Grey, Golden Yellow, Dusty Grey. 
• Density (at +23°C): (Refer to the datasheet for specific densities of Clear and Pigmented Part A, Part B, and Mixed Resin)
• Mixing Ratio: (Refer to the datasheet for specific mixing ratios by weight and volume for Clear and Pigmented versions)

Coverage:

Approx. 5 - 8 m² per litre per coat. Consumption depends on the surface profile and texture of the underlying Sikafloor system.

Application Guidelines:

• Ambient Temperature: +2 °C min. / +25 °C max.
• Pot Life (at ±23°C): Approximately 40 minutes.
• Curing Time (at ±23°C): Around 24 hours.
• Recoating Time (at ±23°C): Approximately 6 hours.

Application Instructions:

Substrate Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Remove all dust and loose material. A pull-off strength of ≥ 1.5 N/mm² is required. Sikafloor-550 PA is a finish resin coating and should be applied over a suitable Sikafloor system. Consult Sika Technical for specific recommendations.

Mixing: Mechanically premix Part A until uniform. Pour Part B into Part A (or coloured Part A) and mix thoroughly for 1 minute. Only mix the amount needed within the pot life. Avoid excessive mixing speed. Do not seal the mixed product container.

Application: Before applying this resin coating, check substrate moisture, humidity, and dew point. Apply Sikafloor-550 PA by brush, roller, or spray. Ensure clean, dry tools. Avoid over-rolling. For the first coat, use 5-6 m²/litre. Thinning is not advised. For a textured floor, apply at 5 m²/litre and broadcast aggregate. Allow 6 hours to dry before removing excess aggregate. Apply the second resin coating within 6-18 hours, or sand after 18 hours. Use 6-8 m²/litre for the second coat. Allow 12 hours for pedestrian traffic, 24 hours for vehicles, and 2 days for chemical/heavy abrasion exposure.

Equipment Cleaning: Clean tools immediately with Thinner C. Cured resin coating can only be removed mechanically.
