Deckshield UV Polyurethane Sealer is a two-component, high gloss, UV stable, abrasion-resistant aliphatic polyurethane sealer designed to enhance and protect Flowcrete flooring systems.

Deckshield UV provides a durable protective surface layer for resin flooring applications where a high-performance finish is required.

The clear finish is designed to enhance existing flooring systems while maintaining the appearance of the underlying surface. The coloured finish provides a decorative protective coating option and is available in Flowcrete colour selections including White, N44, N35, and other specified colours.

The roller-applied polyurethane coating provides excellent finishing properties and is designed for applications requiring a hard-wearing, durable, abrasion-resistant, and chemical-resistant surface.

1. What is Deckshield UV used for?

Deckshield UV is a UV-stable two-component polyurethane sealer designed for concrete and Flowcrete epoxy or polyurethane flooring systems. It provides a durable protective finish with strong UV, chemical and abrasion resistance.

2. Is Deckshield UV suitable for outdoor flooring?

Yes. Deckshield UV is designed to provide excellent resistance to harsh UV rays, making it suitable for applications where flooring is exposed to sunlight. It can be used as a UV-stable seal coat over suitable concrete and resin flooring systems.

3. What colours and finish are available with Deckshield UV?

Deckshield UV is available in clear or standard colours, including a range of AS2700 colours. The system specification provides a gloss finish, allowing you to select a colour to suit the project requirements.

4. How durable is Deckshield UV?

Deckshield UV provides high chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and durability. The system has a reported AR2 abrasion classification and is temperature tolerant up to 65°C, making it suitable for demanding flooring environments.

5. How long does Deckshield UV take to cure?

At 20°C, Deckshield UV typically allows foot traffic after 24 hours and vehicular traffic after 72 hours. Full chemical cure is achieved after approximately 7 days. Cure times vary with temperature and site conditions.

6. Can Deckshield UV be applied over existing Flowcrete flooring?

Yes. Deckshield UV can be applied over existing Flowcrete epoxy or polyurethane flooring systems, provided the correct surface preparation is completed. For existing Flowcrete systems, application should generally occur within 24 hours at 20°C; consult Flowcrete if this timeframe is exceeded.
